Meet Christian

Creating meaningful communications can only be successful by way of active listening and a natural penchant for curiosity so as to provide effective solutions. Taking calculated risks excites Christian, and he’s not afraid to go back to the drawing board, even if it takes 10 attempts – or more – to reach the most effective approach.

Christian Moises APR (like “noises” with an “m”) is a proactive communications, marketing and growth professional who strategically combines traditional and emerging communication trends to expand your brand among decision makers through effective B2B and B2C marketing and communications.

He spent his first 10 years in journalism, first as a copy editor for two daily newspapers, then news editor at New Orleans CityBusiness, where he wore many hats, including reporter, news editor, manager of all industry and event-driven publications and photography coordinator (to name a few) before transitioning into the client custom publishing manager role. Working with clients to bring their vision and content to life made for an easy transition to a broader communications and marketing path.

After stops in death care marketing and communications, and health care public relations (including internal communications) for a multi-facility community hospital network, Christian shifted his efforts to professional services marketing and communications at an AM 200 regional law firm, working with nearly 250 attorneys in 10 offices throughout eight states before finally joining the accounting and advisory sector.

His experience in myriad industries, in addition to his close relationship with C-suite decisionmakers during his time at the business journal of New Orleans, gives him a unique, inside perspective to effectively connect with a broader audience while helping you – and your clients – grow and achieve success.

Relationship building and maintenance – networking to find the next opportunity – is where he’s most successful in achieving those goals, doing so through content generation and management while developing and executing communication plans that include growth strategy, budgeting and marketing.

Communicating today means helping people achieve their goals through actionable content, and when the final plan is complete, Christian continues to focus on the small things, the flourishes that make his work pop. The end result is always the same: develop and execute top-quality communications strategies to achieve success.

After 5 with Christian

New Orleans is home – born and raised minus four years at Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism, nearly three years in Little Rock, Arkansas, where he was a copy editor (and part-time server at a local Mexican restaurant) at the then-Top 10 newspaper the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette and a quick stop in Lafayette, Louisiana, as a copy editor at The Daily Advertiser on his way back home to be part of the Hurricane Katrina recovery.

He earned his APR (Accredited in Public Relations) credential from the Public Relations Society of America in 2015. In addition to past president (vice president and board member) of the Press Club of New Orleans, a past member of the WYES-TV board of trustees and a past board member of the Legal Marketing Association’s New Orleans/Baton Rouge chapter, Christian is an active member of the Association for Accounting MarketingHe currently serves as an at-large national board member and is the board’s liaison to the Growth Strategies committee, where he served as committee chair and editor of AAM’s quarterly print thought leadership publication.

Upon taking over as editor for Growth Strategies, he turned to his publication roots, managing a team of 12 volunteer writers and designers to identify, write and edit 20 pages of content related to emerging trends in accounting marketing. It also provided an opportunity to lead a complete redesign (layout and content) in 2019, which led to yet another opportunity to transition to a digital publishing format because of COVID-19. He also initiated and moderated virtual roundtable discussions to share and generate ideas among members during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He and his wife Stephanie, a local teacher, are both avid New Orleans Saints fans (Who Dat!), loyal Louisiana Tech supporters (Go Dawgs!) and live for Mardi Gras every year (Christian rides with the Krewe of Carrollton, where he serves as a float lieutenant, on the board of directors, runs their social media accounts and is a recipient of the Jules Cambre Man of the Year award, while Stephanie is a member of the Krewe of Muses). They both love a good hurricane – the Pat O’Brien’s variety, not the other one.
